Privacy policy

Effective 2026-10-07

What It Calls (whatitcalls.reactiveworks.dev) is an information service you use without an account. This policy explains what information the service processes, why, and for how long.

Effective 2026-10-07

Overview

  • There is no sign-up or sign-in, and we do not ask for identity details such as your name or phone number.
  • The only personal information you type in is the optional contact email on a correction request.
  • We use Google services for visit statistics and ads. See “Cookies” and “Third parties and transfers abroad” below.

What we process and why

ItemDetailsPurpose
Access logs Web server logs: IP address, requested URL, time, browser details Running the service, troubleshooting, blocking excessive automated requests
Helpful / not helpful Which result the reaction is for, and a daily salted hash instead of the IP itself (an HMAC made with a key that changes every day) Keeping one person from reacting to the same result twice
Correction requests Items marked as wrong, your description, an optional contact email, and a daily salted hash instead of the IP itself Reviewing and fixing results, replying to you, applying the daily limit
Functional cookies Theme (light or dark) and language choice Showing the same settings on your next visit
Visit statistics Visit and usage data collected with cookies by Google Analytics 4 Understanding which pages are used, to improve the service
Ads Ad display and interaction data collected with cookies by Google AdSense Showing ads (covering running costs)

Contact emails are stored encrypted and used only to reply about that correction request. They are never used for ads or newsletters.

Retention and deletion

  • Access logs: deleted after 30 days.
  • Contact emails: deleted 90 days after the correction request is closed.
  • Daily salted hashes: made with a key that changes every day, so they cannot be turned back into an IP. They are kept with the reaction or correction record.
  • Functional cookies: stored in your browser; you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
  • Data collected by Google services: kept under each service’s own policy.

Information past its retention period is deleted so that it cannot be recovered.

Cookies

Functional cookies

These remember your theme and language choice. They hold nothing that identifies you.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 for visit statistics. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Google AdSense

Ads are served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ad Settings.

Refusing cookies

You can block cookies in your browser settings. Results remain readable; only your theme and language choice will not be remembered.

Third parties and transfers abroad

Apart from the Google services above (Google Analytics 4, Google AdSense), we do not share personal information with third parties, except where the law requires it.

RecipientCountryDataPurpose
Google LLCUnited StatesVisit and ad data collected with cookiesVisit statistics, ads

This data is sent from your browser directly to Google when a page loads. If you do not want this, use “Refusing cookies” above and Google Ad Settings.

Source code of checked repositories

The source code of the public repositories we check is read in memory and not stored. We store only the facts found in the code, their locations (file path and line number) and short quotes shown on the page. If a quote contains personal information or a secret, please contact us and we will remove it right away.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop its processing. Email siwooeo@gmail.com and we will act without delay. To delete the email you left on a correction request, include the address of the result page you sent it from.

Because IPs are stored only as daily hashes, we may not be able to find a person’s records from a hash alone.

Security

  • Contact emails are stored encrypted.
  • IP addresses are not kept in reaction or correction records.
  • The admin area is reachable only with a password and from allowed IPs.
  • All connections use HTTPS.
